ALTUR - ALVARINO TENNIS ACADEMY

The Altur-Alvarino Tennis Acdemy was founded in 1998 by Pancho Alvarino and Jose Altur. It was created due to the lack of Professional Tennis Centers at that time in Spain. Today it is the home of dedicated young boys and girls from all over the world. In addition it is the center where professional players such as David Ferrer and Marat Safin. At any time the Academy has a maximum of 50 players total and the ages range from 14 to 20 years old. The majority of our players come from Europe but our goal is to also open the school to Asian players. The languages spoken at the academy by our staff and students are english, spanish and russian.

The Academy is located at the Club Deportivo Saladar in the beautiful town of Silla, just 15 km away from downtown Valencia. The average temperature all year around is approximately of 17 ºC wich is perfect the perfect weather condition for outdoor training. Valencia is the third biggest city in Spain with a population of approximately 1 mil. people and Barcelona and Madrid are just 3 hours away by car.

The city, the climate, the amount of high level players, our experience in this Industry, etc, makes our Academy and Valencia one of the best Tennis Towns in the World. It is for these reasons that some of the best juniors and professional players choose to train with us every year.  We look forward to welcome new asian tennis players  who want to take Tennis seriously and try to reach their maximum potential.
